The world seems to be filled with more and more abundance everyday. Be it informations, entertainments, goods, services, everything is there. This abundance is something that's unthinkable in the past. And now, with internet, it's easier than ever to get access with these kind of thing. More and more content keeps coming everyday, what works today might become useless tomorrow. And people will ask for more, they will never get enough of it. And the cycle repeat.
But even though there's a lot of things available, only a small portion that really have some value to us. The others are either fluffs or scams. The one that won't make you grow as a person or help you with whatever problem you have. And with the limited time we have, it will be better if we don't waste our time with these fluffs.
I know there are many things on the net that caught our interest. And it's compelling to click on that pretty blue link. But let's face it, you don't need most of them and you know it. Why? Because I've been there. I wasted hours of my life on the net everyday. I still do, but I made a commitment to myself to stop focusing on the little things. The things that doesn't matter. And instead focus on the work that matters. Which is the one that i'm compelled to do, that will lead me to be a better person, and the thing that won't make me want to puke because of wasting my time.
To make it a habit, I only turn on my computer (or whatever device I'm using that day) with a specific goal in mind. If i want to write an article, I keep that in mind and do just that with my computer. Other people suggests that it is better to use software to keep you from getting sidetracked. But for me, it is better and easier this way. You might disagree with me there, and I want you to disagree if you can. Don't take other people's words for your own life. Rather, just listen and then decide for yourself, what works for you might be different from them. Because you're special, and I want you to know that.
